ESPN Power Rankings: Bears at 24, no surprise

by Shea Johnson on Monday 12 May 2008 at 1:01 pm

The Bears are ranked number 24 in ESPN’s first Power Rankings of the year. Not really a huge surprise considering the number of question marks on offense. This is what “cute” remark they put in the little box accompanying the ranking:

“Seems like years ago the Bears were NFC champs. For better or worse, fans will have to endure another season of good Rex Grossman and bad Rex Grossman.”

Interesting. Seems even the dudes at ESPN think Rex will be the starter. On a good note, we are ahead of Detroit (29). Take that, Jon Kitna!

I think you’ll see more consistency and good decision-making. The bigger question is who will he throw the ball to?
