The Top 10 players most vital to the Chicago Bears’ success in 2008 – #9 Robbie Gould

Continuing our list of…well…read the title, buddy.

# 9. Robbie Gould

As the most accurate kicker in Bears’ history, Robbie Gould has made a name for coming through when it counts. “Good as Gould” and “Solid Gould” are just two of the names fans have made for him to acknowledge that he, does indeed, come through when it counts.

Signed to a five-year extension earlier in May making him the NFL’s highest-paid kicker, Gould might be counted on again in 2008 to be the difference maker for what appears to be an awfully stingy defense and a fairly unproven offense.

Gould’s importance will explode through the roof if the Bears’ red-zone offense doesn’t. Expect the Pro-Bowl kicker to be at the epicenter of many nail-biting scenarios this season.
