Bears put wide receiver Mark Bradley on waivers

by Shea Johnson on Tuesday 23 September 2008 at 6:02 pm

Wide receiver Mark Bradley is no longer a member of the Chicago Bears. Not by choice of course. The Bears waived him on Tuesday to make room for rookie cornerback Marcus Hamilton — a seventh-round pick by of all teams, the Tampa Bay Bucs. Alright.

What’s really messed up is Bradley’s not even Rashied Davis.

With the move, Kyle Orton remains the gem of the 2005 Bears draft class and the only member still with the team. Is the 2005 class going down in history as one of the worst everĀ or what?

The 2005 draft class sure as hell is Angelo’s worst at least. I don’t get this though. I think Bradley never really got a fair shot with this team and was in Lovie’s doghouse. I’ve heard he doesn’t have a great attitude and whatnot… but it seemed like when he actually got a chance, he made plays. I firmly believe he was every bit as talented as any other receiver we have. His injuries have always been a problem, but if he’s 100% right now, there’s gotta be something going on that we don’t know about. Oh well, at least we have Rashied Davis to drop some more passes with the game on the line!

Also, it’s time to see what Rideau and Bennett can do.

I agree with Matt but it seems there was some underlying personality issues too. It’s too bad–I really thought if healthy and given the PT he could be a solid player. Have fun on the Texans Mark!
