Tommie Harris goes all “The Rock” on the media
You have got to wonder if the pressure isn’t starting to get to defensive tackle Tommie Harris. Through three games this season — his first being the highest-paid DT in the NFL – Harris has produced only two tackles and one for loss.
Thus, it is completely understandable why he might employ sarcasm as a method of dealing with any potential ridicule. Or at least that’s what I might think if I were into that psychology bullshit. Which I’m totally not… I’m not.
Harris responded to quesions of whether or not he would be a participant on Sunday night with a third-person monologue of sorts. “Tommie just got in from vacation this week and hopefully he is ready to play because he has been taking some time off,” he told reporters.
He continued, “They gave him all that money. I guess since he plays for the money he better do something now since they paid him all that money.”
Watch out, Donovan McNabb. You don’t want to mess with Tommie when he is angry. Or ornery.
