Terrence Metcalf suspended for steroid use

by Shea Johnson on Monday 13 October 2008 at 4:39 pm

Of the two men in the photograph, one is the owner of eleven identical denim jackets and has seen Tommy Boy 242 times. In 2008.

The other, however, was just busted for violation of the NFL’s policy on anabolic steroids and related substances and is unable to participate in the next four games.

Guard Terrence Metcalf thus becomes the first person in recorded history to be diagnosed with steroid immunity.

Charles S. Dutton Metcalf started all six games this year for Chicago, although almost by default. But to his credit, he actually wasn’t a noticeable fuck up at left guard. And I suppose that’s all we can ask from the janitor from Rudy him.

Dan Buenning, acquired in a trade with Tampa Bay, will most likely fill the role vacanted by Metcalf. I’d also expect receiver Mike Hass or guard Tyler Reed to join the practice squad until Metcalf returns. And he will return. Oh. He. Will. Return.

Wait–Terrence Metcalf was starting? And you’re right–I don’t think he was taking them properly.
