This One’s About Two Bears Running Backs Not Named Matt Forte

by Shea Johnson on Wednesday 4 February 2009 at 7:31 pm

While I’m waiting to get my hands on Pro Football Weekly‘s NFL Draft Guide so I can give my first awesome mock draft of 2009, I have some a lot of time on my hands to scour the Interweb for fresh Chicago Bears content. Sometimes said content is found in the place I think to look last. You know, like Chicagobears.com.

Bears fans were recently given the opportunity to ask co-offensive coordinator Rob Turner some questions, and today he obliged with answers. The more interesting part of his answers involved Bears running backs Adrian Peterson and Garrett Wolfe.

You can read the Q & A here, but to summarize, a question was posed to Turner about utilizing Peterson in a fullback role. Turner seemed to like the idea — as if he had actually never thought of it himself but pretended he had — so don’t be shocked to see AP play some FB this year.

Oh, and Wolfe is the next Darren Sproles. But you already knew that.

I’ve always said Garrett Wolfe should be used more.

Will he be Sproles? No, because Forte’s no LT.

You right turtle. Forte’s mom fucking hates Campbells Chunky Soup.

What ever happened to Kevin Jones? Seriously. Did this dude just fall off the face of the earth?

As far as Wolfe and Peterson go, I agree they should be in the offense more. But, don’t write off KJ. When not injured, he can be damn good.

I’d like Peterson being a fullback. He can play. He can run and he can block. But then why the hell do we need Jason Mckie or Davis for?

Wolfe hasnt proven himself but he fits mold of A Darren Sproles. We’ll have to see…
