Blogging: So Easy A Caveman Could Do It — Blog Down, Chicago Bears

Blogging: So Easy A Caveman Could Do It

The driving force behind most successful blogs  — besides from being interesting, witty and having gratuitous pictures of scantily clad women — is their willingness or ability to feature fresh and relevant content daily.

Deadspin had 26 new posts today; The Big Lead, 24; Sports by Brooks, 17; With Leather, 11; and Pro Football Talk, a whopping 47.

Blog Down, Chicago Bears, 1.

So, you see, what I’m trying to get across — as I slowly but slowly inch closer to sitting at the popular blogs’ table — is that I need help.

We’re I’m looking for a crack pipe team of writers — no more than 1 — to join the Blog Down, Chicago Bears staff. If you’re a huge Bears fan with a sense of humor and adequate writing skills, get at me.

All interested participants are required to submit at least two writing samples to blogdownchicagobears@gmail.com, along with why they feel they’d be a good addition, and their favorite Bears player. The lucky winner will be expected to publish 2-5 posts daily, Sun-Wed, with optional posts Thurs-Sat. No monies will be collected by new Blog Down writer, since I have, myself, not collected on any monies. Unless you count $1.47 from AdSense accumulated since the beginning of time. At first, I’ll have you believe that Blog Down believes in it’s mission statement, cares about upholding journalistic integrity, and takes strategic Internet marketing very seriously. After 9 1/2 hours on the job, you’ll then realize we rely on outlandish rumors and google searches to feed our hunger for notoriety. You may not do anything other than write. Write, you fucking puppet! No linking up with other blogs, no agreeing to cross promotional content exchange, and absolutely, under no circumstances, should you write me an e-mail asking how you’re doing. Oh, and from time to time, you will have to travel. Starbucks doesn’t deliver, you stupid fuck. But otherwise, you’ll find Blog Down is a great blog to work write for and should thoroughly enjoy your stay.

Other than what you just read, I’m serious.
