I remember when I inked my Bears fandom on my arm three years ago. I thought, at the time, I was really showing the world that my irrefutable allegiance to the team I had been enamored with since I could crawl was unrivaled. Now, thanks to one dude, I realize there are varying degrees of dedication.

My fist-sized tattoo of a Bear wrapped inside the “C” has nothing on the similar one Illinois native Glenn Timmerman has… on his head. But it doesn’t stop there. Timmerman has quite a few impressive pieces all over his body well-done tattoos, but what’s most eye-opening is the over-90 player autographs he is donning permanently on his skin.

The list of players who have willingly contributed to his walking and breathing Bears temple range from the active to the retired; the great to the irrelevant, and Timmerman doesn’t appear primed to stop anytime soon: there’s still a top ten most wanted signatures list on his Web site, biggestbearfan.com — probably the most appropriate URL ever.

Oh yeah, and the guy’s basement–as you would expect–is crazy fanatical as well.

If anything, Timmerman will never be able to say he lives without a Daven Holly autograph more than just a mere few inches from eyesight. That’s a fan in the truest sense of the term.
