The Extreme Delusions Of Peter Warrick — Blog Down, Chicago Bears

The Extreme Delusions Of Peter Warrick

by Matt Phillip on Sunday 21 June 2009 at 8:00 pm

So Peter Warrick–remember him? After tearing up the ACC and college football in general while at Florida St, Warrick got drafted by Cincinnati number four overall in 2000. He had a nice year in ‘03 but got injured and missed most of ’04, and after one season with Seattle he was shipped to the red-headed stepchild of the NFL, the CFL (Cue blood-curdling screams). Why should you care, dear reader? Well, now Mr. Warrick wants to play for the Bears.

He is currently playing for the Bloomington (IL) EXTREME (awesome) of the Indoor Football League. He thinks it would be ‘fun’ with Hester and Plaxico (F THAT) on the outside and himself in the slot.

No.

I know we have nothing at receiver (outside of my boy Juaquin), but I’d like to think the Bears are above looking for pass-catching help in the IFL (red-headed stepchild of the Arena League??). His one decent season in 2003, 79 catches for 819 yards and seven scores would be reason enough for the Bears to throw more money at him than he could spend. But this isn’t 2003 and Peter, you aren’t 26. You’re 32, with bad knees. Enjoy Bloomington, I hear ISU keggars are totally boss.

Still think the should sigh Peter Warrick & Plexicao. They need ANY help they can get at WR Your “boy” Inglesis, has so far done squat! Last time Bears drafted a WR from the Sooner’s (Mark Bradley), I had wished it were “Later” rather than “Sooner.” I will go out on a limb here and pridict Ingesis will be another Sooner bust. We will talk 1/2 through the season…if Cutler isn’t injured by then.

True I did go out on a limb there, but Bradley spent more time on the injury report than he did on the field. In addition we had the Sex Cannon and/or Neckbeard throwing to him, not a top 5 QB like Cutler. You WANT them to sign Warrick?? REALLY???? Get your head checked sir.

if he’s 32 now, how could he have been 24 in 2003? idiot.
