Next, Lovie To Do Away With Stoicism, Show What You Call Emotion

by Shea Johnson on Monday 20 July 2009 at 10:00 am

Four months ago, Lovie Smith and Jerry Angelo were assumed to be idiots; too conservative and too resigned to stick with the plan no matter how much it didn’t work. But, one blockbuster trade, big-time free agency signing and inconspicuously impressive draft later, and they’re the fourth-best coach-general manager combination in the NFL. Yeah, that’s exactly how they wrote it up.

They are jealous of the Hawks.

I’m really going to be pissed if the Cutler deal allows Lovie and Angelo to redeem themselves.

Some of my favortie Angelo mistakes of recent memory…
    1) Getting rid of TJ, keeping Benson
    2) Picking Dan Bazuin in the 2nd round in 2007 inspite of numerous other needs, because, “he was just too good of a talent to pass up”
    3) Getting rid of Ron Rivera after having the best defense in the league in 2006
    4) Playing Kyle Orton
