Charles Tillman Insults Our Intelligence
See why here. Seriously though Charles, we aren’t that stupid. We may be demanding and incredibly fickle (as my girlfriend so nicely pointed out on Sunday) but, sir, we are not dimwitted. At least not dumb enough to believe we can still make the playoffs this season. Can someone be that delusional?? Well, Charles Tillman thinks you are, or at least wants you to believe the Bears are. I, for one, do not share his optimism and I’m probably not alone. The last three games have given more than enough reason to look forward to the 2010 NFL Draft that the Bears won’t be participating in.
I’ve always wished that players could actually speak the truth without fear of being disciplined for speaking out against the team or whatever. That feeling aside, let’s take Peanut’s attitude straight up. OK, so he sincerely believes that the Bears have a legitimate shot at the postseason. Let’s go to the standings which shows the Bears standing currently at ninth overall in the NFC. Barely ahead of the REDSKINS (what a train wreck that team is). The mathematics that go into figuring out the chance the Bears have at the postseason go way beyond my Statistics classes I never went to in college, so I’ll put the idea they have a chance somewhere between off-the-wall-crazy and batshit insane.
To even begin to have the ever-so-faintest glimmer of hope, the Bears have to pull of a MEGA upset in Minneapolis on Monday (/shudder). Suffice it to say the playoffs this year aren’t worth thinking about because it won’t happen. As my partner in crime so aptly tagged his last post ‘the rest of the season will just be for fun’. The sooner Tillman and the Bears absorb that (and TELL us as much) the better off we’ll be.
Enjoy Black Wednesday everyone.

To be fair, Tillman then said he would hit four home runs against Minnesota.
The Black Knight was pretty goddamn confident too, and it worked out well for him, right? Although if John Cleese was the coach, at least something about this team would be entertaining.
I challenge thee to an honor du-el … Swagger!
“If you had cancer, are you going to be doubtful the whole time saying, ‘I guess I’m going to die,’ or are you going to be positive and optimistic that you’re going to overcome it?” Tillman posed.
You’re all taking this wrong: Tillman was simply comparing the Bears dire situation to having cancer. All better.
