Okay, This Is Where We Sort Of Beg For You To Comment
The last post of the week: something to ponder as you await the certain couch slouch and booze binge of the Thanksgiving weekend.
We cordially invite thee, Chicago Bears fans everywhere — even sucky states like Oklahoma! — to our humble Web presence, also referred to around these Internets as “Blog Down, Chicago Bears”.
We’ve been around for a little while now, and we’re begging asking everyone who passes through here everyday to read us to start to comment also. Ideally, together we can build a community that is so much more Chris Harris-er, and so much less Adam Archuleta-er than your ordinary Bears message board or fan site.
And look! We even wrote a Commenter’s Guide for you.
So read it, and then comment somewhere. And send us an e-mail, if you like, with the username you’ll be using (you don’t have to sign-in at all) so that we may track all who are in.
It’s a short week, because of Thanksgiving which I’m told has three games on. So, congratulations Green Bay, Dallas and New York.
We’ll be back on Monday unless, of course, Marty Schottenheimer inevitably takes the Bears head-coaching job before then.
Happy Thanksgiving All! And welcome again to Blog Down.

This thanksgiving, my wife gives thanks for the fact the Bears stink and I will be less likely to ignore her all Sunday while watching football. This might be the earliest end to a real season we have had in some time. How disappointing…
You could explain to her, as I have to my girlfriend, that just because the Bears called it in early, doesn’t mean you don’t have a vested interest in the Thanksgiving games. I mean, there’s fantasy football. And if you’re with other relatives or friends that she won’t stand up to yet, she’ll have no choice but to let you ALL watch football peacefully together.
Glad to see there is another Bears blog out there besides WCG. That place has become too pussified for my liking. Look forward to seeing what this place is about!!
I refuse to comment when solicited
