New Writer On The Site And No, It’s Not Vasher’s Mom
Meet Gavin Tugana, the latest in a short line of people who will use this blog to bestow knowledge and humor into your sad, miserable lives. And he’s definitely not Nathan Vasher’s mom. Because I know her. She’s sweet.
Christ. I don’t like writing these, but I figure I’ll get it out there for the two people who will inevitably give a shit about who I am.
I’ve been writing for Windy City Gridiron for the past year or so. Why the change? They wanted to go in a different direction, and honestly, I got sick of the dumbass Bears fans that filtered into the site when SBNation and Yahoo merged. Imagine sticking your head in a rusty bear trap. Just think about it. That’s what it’s like dealing with the football stupid. It’s not fun. I estimate that I’ve added ten years to my life by charitably giving my time and energy to those folks. Granted, not all members of WCG were like that, but I’m hoping to avoid the football stupid over here.
From what I’ve seen of this site, it looks like I won’t be dealing with the football stupid on a regular basis. Which is great for my blood pressure and my few remaining brain cells. Mostly, I’m excited to talk Bears with intelligent people.
I’m not an X’s and O’s savant – I know enough to get by. I do follow college football pretty religiously, so I’ll be bringing you some draft pieces after the season. Why? So you’re all prepared and know the names of the third-round talents in 2010! Maybe instead of drafting someone who can jump out of pools, we can draft someone who can, you know, block. Or tackle. Or cover. Or adequately perform any basic football fundamental.
Enough about me. I’m looking forward to talking with y’all in the future. Bear Down.

The truth is we were all evicted three weeks ago. I spent all rent money on collectible POGS. And, the reason why we’ve been climbing into the apartment through the back window is not because they’re painting the front steps.
I love POGS. As long as Ditka brings the Gold Bond, we got ourselves a party.

By the way, we should probably warn the vets over here in case we were followed; if you see someone posting under “Gesiakob”, “Gesia”, “Kob”, or any variation thereof, just turn off the lights, stay away from the windows, and be as quiet as possible.
