Meanwhile, Back In Chicago…
Brian Urlacher watched the debacle up in Minneapolis with his brother and some hotties and made some very interesting comments regarding the Bears season and current situation. Feel free to read the excellent article here. It’s interesting to note that while his teammates are out there getting bent over by Brett Favre…AGAIN, #54 is crawling around his brother’s condo and flashing his pink cast around (ZOMG!).
Did I miss the memo on why he doesn’t travel with the team?? Seems sort of weird for the face of the franchise for the past decade. Since when does Urlacher get a free pass to sit out the season and fuck around with his bro and his bitches? I’m actually kind of baffled by this. Wouldn’t his time be better served on the sidelines trying to give pointers to the linebackers he is clearly superior to? At the very least, it would show that he supports the team and give them a shred of morale?
Whatever. I watched the game and laughed at the ‘offensive line’ we continue to trot out there. I was pleased when I saw Orlando Pace walk off the field with his groin injury and again correctly predicted a Cutler interception (the one where EJ Henderson blew up Earl Bennett well before the ball arrived; Hunter Hillenmeyer take note).
It’s gotten to the point where I watch the Bears to see how bad it will get. I had no illusions of an upset at the Metrodome. Even when the Bears are good and the Vikings aren’t amazing, we still don’t win up there. No Chicago team does. I now watch to see what new lows this Bears team will reach. I haven’t said this in a long time, but I’m looking forward to the end of the season.
Urlacher summed it up best: “This sucks.”

Dude that girl on the left, lol. Just way too natural, real girl next door type…
Jesus, I hope he can pull better women than those ones. Looks like he’s at a convention for retired B-list porn stars. Hope he’s got some penicillin.
I love that pic of Urlacher coping a feel and of course the girl who needs some coke or meth on the other side. Your right though Gavin(that feels weird to type) watching the Bears now you almost know it’s going to be a loss and you just watch to see how bad. Kind of like a car wreck involving a nun and a bus load of orphans, it’s tragic but you just have to watch the carnage.
Sean that’s my type of girl, don’t hate.
A middle-aged Vikings fan was really afraid of Cutler. I had to stifle a laugh when I asked why….he said he was “due.”
To tie it back to Matt’s post, I’d be curious to see the player reactions if Lovie was fired this season. I wonder how many players are fiercely loyal to him. I know the economics are against Lovie being fired, but I’m starting to get the feeling that management isn’t so happy about our season, especially since they “informally” put out feelers to Cowher, Shanahan, and Gruden (really?!).
Would a loss to St. Louis open up a legitimate possibility of Lovie being fired after this season? Or am I on a wing and a prayer?
Jer and Ditka – I want to see pictures of the girls he was with this weekend, just to see if his taste got worse over the last five years….
Agree completely Matt, 54 needs to be on the sidelines. I’ve never understood when players don’t travel when they’re hurt. Offer your “words of encouragement” in person, not through your plasma.
just to be fair to urlacher he has been on the side line more than not, also how many times did you see tom brady on the side line when he was injuried it was like 0 to none
Meh.
Urlacher, Brady, whomever. For what my opinion’s worth, and that’s absolutely nothing, they should all be there when injured.
