mike brown fucking ruled until that improbable win over the shit-eating packers back in 2004. think he went on IR that game and it was all downhill from there.

hey man you have to answer the important question: did you place a bet on the o/u for season wins for the bears this year? i remember a lot of people, myself included, thought 8.5 was an easy over pick. glad (unlike most of my betting acquaintances) i didn’t lose money on that one.

Cold…first…CHILL. Second, I never said Mike Brown wasn’t great. I was making the point that you couldn’t count on him to be there every week as he was injured so much.

As for your comments, I totally agree. Unfortunately, Jerry’s shown his bumbling idiocy when it comes to drafting offensive linemen. Personally, I could see Taylor Mays going in the mid-to-late first, but regardless: How sweet would it have been to see him in a Bears uniform for the next ten years?

Taylor Mays, probably could have gotten him late first round, package a high second round draft pick (gaines adams? he’s still playing in the league?) and a 4th and we could have had him and the Free Safety position stable for the next 8 years.

I’d rather get a safety in the draft than OG or OT which can be bought in free agency.

I’ll keep this in mind come draft day, when they trade their 3rd through 6th round picks for 13 7th round picks, take 12 defensive linemen (you really can never have enough) and a combination tight end/offensive guard/punter, get high marks on draft report cards for “doing a lot with not much”, then cut them all before the season starts.

But think of the cap room they’ll save!
