A Timely Perusal Into Your Most Memorable Bears-Packers Moments

by Shea Johnson on Thursday 10 December 2009 at 8:30 pm

The Bears-Packers rivalry goes back 40 million years, well before Ditka rose from the dead — it’s true — and will resume this Sunday at Soldier Field. With all the time that has passed, so too undoubtedly, have many memories; some great and others not so great. What better a time than now to share your favorite or most memorable moments in the longstanding Bears-FudgePackers rivalry? But first, here’s one of mine:

The Bears would lose this game 27-24, but really, who cares? Stay for the end of the video, to watch Michael Bant … something or other … aka the catcher/faller, get on TV and be interviewed, albeit briefly, by Lynn Swan. I’m confused, because I’m pretty sure he says he plays, meaning currently, and not played, meaning he’s 34-years old, when referring to his role with his high school football team. Regardless, I guess when your shit-drunk and freezing, the only thing you want to do is sell the world on your football skills. Classic.

What do you remember?

Charles Martin on Jim McMahon. It ended any respect I could ever have for that pile of a team.

And surprisingly, no video evidence exists anywhere on these Internets!

i remember watching favre rawdog the bears on monday night football down in champaign a few years ago when i was in college. specifics are blurry due to copious amount of booze consumed before/during/after game but i remember the bears getting almost literally violated by #4. again. packers suck and favre/rodgers swallows.

The Champaign season, in general, was a horrible one because the Bears were coming off that amazing 13-3 season and expectations were so high. Dammit! What a waste of a brutal Ted Washington/Keith Traylor combo.
