Dick Jauron Meekly Accepts Eagles Coaching Offer
In dumb coaching moves NOT related to the Bears, the Philly Eagles have done Angelo & Co. one better and hired Dick Jauron to be their defensive backs coach for the upcoming season. Well, I guess it makes sense ’cause Jauron was a DB back in his playing days in the 70’s. But really???? How can an organization hire this man, with his 60-82 coaching record, to try and tell Asante Samuel to go out and light up Miles Austin next season? He looks like a paper tiger to the umpth degree.
Also, he looks like Al Davis nephew…..son……..whatever works better.
Andy Reid: So … Dick. Uh, I’m going to have to ask you to move your desk. Now, if you could get it to go as far back against that wall as possible, that would be great.
Jauron: No, no, because I was, I was -
Reid: That way, we’ll have some room for more boxes and things we need to put
in here.
Jauron: No…sir…
Reid: So if you could get to that as soon as possible, that would be terrific.
Jauron: No. No.

Dick: Ok. I’ll set the building on fire.
They also hired Phil Savage to help with talent evaluation for the draft. No, this is not the set-up to a joke. It really happened.
