Julius Peppers Wastes No Time Making Friends
Julius Peppers wanted patrons of Chicago hotspot Crescendo on late Friday night to know he appreciated their hometown football team’s generosity. So much so that the Chicago Bears defensive end bought 25 bottles of Perrier Jouet Fleur de Champagne to be distributed to everyone in the club. At a cool $350 per bottle, that’s almost like a regular guy buying each of his four friends something off the McDonald’s dollar menu.
Peppers and two friends were at the River North hangout — I was there myself last November, I think you should know — celebrating his recent big payday. He and his mini-entourage enjoyed themselves from inside a roped off area and ordered three bottles of the slightly more expensive, at $3,000 a pop, Ace of Spades Rose.
Ah, to be Julius Peppers. At the very least, 200 or so people in the city will love him forever, no matter how many sacks he does or doesn’t get. Dan Bazuin could have learned a few things from this.
