Tim Ruskell Is Alot Like Jerry Angelo, In That Way
It is believed that former Seahawks GM, Tim Ruskell, will inevitably be named the Bears’ new director of player personnel. To celebrate, we thought we’d uncover gems about this man from the Internet in a new feature we’re calling “Blurbs About Ruskell.”
“After five years in the president’s chair. Tim Ruskell thought he had the right to go to his bosses in the Seattle Seahawks organization and ask about his future in the last year of his current contract. It was a point he’d been pushing for a while, but with the team going steadily downhill since the second year of his arrival, maybe he shouldn’t have pushed so hard.” (Shutdown Corner)
“[Ruskell] had been so hellbent on ‘cleaning out the locker room’ and filling it with ‘leaders’ and “character guys’ that we now have a charity softball team playing in the NFL.” (Seahawk Addicts)
“Ruskell’s preference for high-priced veterans left Seattle with an aging roster in need of upgrades at several critical positions and two consecutive losing seasons.” (The Olympian)
“Lucky for Ruskell he’s walked away with some great players outside of the 05 class. However it seems that the first round is not his strong point.” (NFL Touchdown)
Oh, but Tim, we’ve already got the middle rounds covered!
