Would The Bears Bring Adewale Ogunleye Back?

by Shea Johnson on Monday 19 April 2010 at 1:30 pm

Hey, this is more than just nugatory speculation  purposed to entice visitors (ahem, bleacher report). Of course, this is also based off of an ESPN Insider report I can’t read because, let’s face it: I’m not hawking out $2.50/month to be regularly duped by Chris Mortenson. Regardless, it’s being discussed somewhere, and I guess rightfully so. (more…)

Mark Anderson boasts “We’re heading to the Super Bowl” Jinx to take effect right…about…now

by Shea Johnson on Wednesday 8 October 2008 at 6:26 pm

Bears defensive end Mark Anderson, obviously feeling the high from Sunday’s 34-7 trumping of the Detroit Lions, has declared that the Bears will represent the NFC in Super Bowl XLIII.

The Bears are currently 3-2 and in sole possesion of first place in the NFC North. Although, they have played well enough to be undefeated.

But does Anderson not realize what city he plays football in? The Cubs were headed to the World Series too. But then fans started to think it and Sports Illustrated killed called it and the Gods of fate were none to pleased.

Super Bowl, Mark? I might have made that argument too. Until your proclaimation ensured that in the next six weeks 13 players will go down with freakish injuries, Soldier Field will catch fire after being struck by lightning, and Kimbo Slice will be T.K.O’d by a self described goofy homo. Ohhhh shit. (more…)
