by Shea Johnson on Monday 12 April 2010 at 6:00 pm

Here is the deal: We don’t have time, nor always the will, to make a post out of every semi-significant Bears-related tidbit that hits the InterWeb. But, to satisfy you readers and make sure that we keep on top of everything, we’re bringing you short and precise annotated Bears highlights every Monday and Thursday. Samoan Genes Lead to Faster Recovery … According To Bears Linebacker

by Matt Phillip on Thursday 8 October 2009 at 11:45 am

In today’s Tribune, injured linebacker Pino Tinoisamoa is ready to play again and expects to start next Sunday in Atlanta. He says that because he was given the starting role at the beginning of the season, he should be back in the lineup for the next game because he’s healthy. “It’s wasn’t like I lost my job because I didn’t play well.” True. Matter of fact, you didn’t play much at all. Watching the game against the Packers you pretty much blinked twice and Pino and Urlacher were out of the game. (more…)

Jamar Williams Is Apparently Still Very Much In The Mix

by Shea Johnson on Friday 12 June 2009 at 8:50 pm

When Pisa Tinoisamoa and his wife signed on to play for the Bears, it was automatically assumed–by me anyway–that he would ultimately start at strongside linebacker.

Hold your assumptions, my friends: Jamar Williams is still up in this biatch! And of course, by that, I mean he is performing very, very well in organized team activities.

Brian Urlacher Has A Way With T-I-N-O-I-S-A… M-O-A

by Shea Johnson on Thursday 4 June 2009 at 5:00 pm

Newly-acquired Bears linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa sure is glad to be a part of a winning team for a change. But, he seems most excited about working with the legendary, Brian Urlacher.

“When I came to my visit he said [hello] to me and he knew my name, I was like, ‘Wow, that’s Brian Urlacher. He called me by my first name.”

Tinoisamoa went on to say that Urlacher signed his jersey after practice and recorded the outgoing message on his cell.

Bears Ready To Sign Pisa Tinoisamoa Provided That His Wife Comes Along

by Shea Johnson on Friday 29 May 2009 at 6:45 pm

UPDATE: As expected, Tinoisamoa and Bears agree to 1-year deal.

The Patriots are apparently close to a deal with free agent linebacker and former Detroit Lion Paris Lenon, and NOT Pisa Tinoisamoa. So now, the most ardent fan of some other team will inevitably become the proud owner of “I Want To Do Pisa Tinoisamoas Wife dot blogspot dot com.”

The Pats were expected to be the Bears’ biggest competitors for the services of the ex-Rams linebacker, assuming both teams wanted the 28-year old; New England obviously did not, the Bears do. Expect Tinoisamoa and his lovely bride to make their introductions into Halas Hall by early next week.
