by Shea Johnson on Monday 10 May 2010 at 8:00 am

Here is the deal: We don’t have time, nor always the will, to make a post out of every semi-significant Bears-related tidbit that hits the InterWeb. But, to satisfy you readers and make sure that we keep on top of everything, we’re bringing you short and precise annotated Bears highlights every Monday and Thursday. This is our link-dumpish effort. (more…)

Bears Hoping This NASA Technology Is Also Good In Pass Protection

by Shea Johnson on Friday 7 May 2010 at 2:30 pm

“The revolutionary treadmill, which arrived at Halas Hall about three weeks ago, allows players to walk or run at a fraction of their body weight. Users wear a special pair of shorts that zip into the machine. A pressurized seal is then created from the waist down, minimizing stress on legs, ankles and feet.” Sounds really high-tech. Or as Israel Idonije put it:  like being in a “grown-up baby stroller.”

Chad OC Abuses Twitter, Bears Players, My Sanity

by Matt Phillip on Tuesday 20 October 2009 at 8:30 pm

Update: Sullivan and I share a brain, at least on this subject. So reread the post for his thoughts on this as well.

Who didn’t see this coming? And who doesn’t find this terribly annoying? Chad Johnson (I refuse to call him Ochocinco) took to Twitter to start talking smack to Jay-Jay and AB. (more…)

by Matt Phillip on Monday 28 September 2009 at 8:15 am

So, what do you suppose is playing in Robbie Gould’s iPOD?

by Shea Johnson on Sunday 12 October 2008 at 5:37 pm

Ah, Robbie Gould. Just hearing his name evokes feelings of rainbows, puppies, and movies in which Richard Gere and Diane Lane finally get out of their own way long enough to realize true love has been right under their noses all along.

It is really no surprise that the fun-loving kicker likes to frequent soft-listening, country concerts (ed. is there any other kind?) in his spare time. In fact, his pre-game playlist includes Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, and Brad Paisley. What better way to pump oneself up then by blaring “Love You Out Loud” on your iPOD?

In defense of Gould’s musical tastes, I managed to find a few Rascal Flatts songs that could be related to the slightly much tougher NFL. (more…)

Introducing the Chicago Bears mobile Web site

by Shea Johnson on Tuesday 30 September 2008 at 5:17 pm

If you’re anything like me, you want to stay connected to Chicago Bears info from anywhere, and as much as possible. Apparently, some company called netomat, Inc. has teamed with Motorola to make it more likely you’ll never miss a thing.

With the launch of Bears mobile, “fans can stay in the game with access to a streamlined version of the team’s official web site on their mobile phone.”

Basically, in between texts to your baby’s mama, you can view up-to-date news feeds, photos, roster, player bios, fan polling, and more. (more…)
